Our vision is to courageously co-create a more fulfilled and flourishing world.

THrough education in Well-Being, professional coach training, and Culture Care.

Whether it's partnering through individual professional coaching relationships, working with students to increase life purpose literacy, partnering with organizations to cascade a culture of well-being, facilitating large-scale organizational change, or multiplying access to well-being education and coaching services through our certified coach training program - Lark's Song is proud to share a role in the positive change that is happening in the lives of those we are serving.

Toward a Black Psychology by Joseph L. White

For Black History Month, we have been focusing on finding, restoring, and making this seminal work of Black History in Psychology and Well-Being for all more accessible.

Originally published in the September 1970 issue of Ebony Magazine, this article challenges a deficit-based, White-centered psychology and was the seed that what we now know as Positive Psychology and the Science of Well-Being grew from.

Our Assumptions

All of Lark’s Song’s programs and services are delivered from a servant leadership paradigm and based on five assumptions about human beings.

1. People are naturally creative, resourceful, whole and relational.*

2. People are unique and valuable.

3. People are worthy of being championed (to their truest and best selves).

4. People are capable of solving complex problems.

5. People are ready to live at choice.

*Assumption #1 is an adaptation of one of the coaching cornerstones from Kimsey-House, Henry, Karen Kimsey-House, and Phil Sandahl. Co-active Coaching: Changing Business, Transforming Lives. Boston, MA: Nicholas Brealey Pub, 2011. Print

What is Lark's Song?

Throughout history and mythology, larks have been symbols of daybreak and courage with each bird learning and singing its own unique and elaborate song from birth. Lark's Song is an educational nonprofit organization that was started by a group of motivated human services professionals in June 2013 dedicated to serving others in the discovery of their unique and elaborate life purpose and empowering them to confidently and courageously live it out through transformational servant leadership. Take a few minutes to watch the video above, so our team can share a little more about what we do here.
